Metal mold steel main classification

　　Metal mold steel processing, because the use of the mold is very wide, the working conditions of various molds are very different, so the range of materials for manufacturing molds is very wide, and the most widely used in mold materials is metal mold steel. From the same carbon structural steel, carbon tool steel, alloy structural steel, alloy tool steel, spring steel, high-speed tool steel, stainless heat resistant steel to meet the needs of special mold maraging steel and powder high-speed steel, powder high alloy die steel. Metal mold steel according to the use can be generally divided into cold metal mold steel, hot metal mold steel and plastic molding with metal mold steel three categories:

　　1. cold metal mold steel

　　Cold work die steel is mainly used to manufacture molds for pressing and forming workpieces under cold conditions. Such as: cold blanking die, cold stamping die, cold drawing die, stamping die, cold extrusion die, thread pressing die and powder pressing die.

　　2. hot metal mold steel

　　Hot work die steel is mainly used to manufacture molds for pressure processing of workpieces at high temperatures.

　　3. metal mold steel

　　Because there are many varieties of plastics, the requirements for plastic products are also very different, and various performance requirements are also put forward for the materials for manufacturing plastic molds.
